Marcus Smart has perfect response to Jimmy Butler’s trash talk

After Game 4, Jimmy Butler claimed Marcus Smart was not about that life and was just acting tough. Smart’s response? Laughter.

The Celtics guard was asked Tuesday afternoon to respond to Butler’s Cheap College Basketball Jerseys trash talk, and if he indeed is about that life. While he didn’t want to make this series a one-on-one thing, he wanted to clarify there was no acting on his part.

While it’s important not to take too much away from this quote, it is a little revealing as to James’ mindset. He’s not worried about the Pacers, even though Indiana has given Cleveland its money’s worth in the first two games. But despite the close calls, the Cavs have a comfortable series lead.

Add on to that the fact James has won 19 straight first-round games, and it’s easy to understand why he’s upset about missing Kendrick Lamar’s Coachella set.

His quote is somewhat similar to something James said back in last year’s playoff series against the Raptors. The series had been tied 2-2, and after a blowout victory in Game 5 James said, I’ve been a part of some very adverse situations and I just didn’t believe that this was one of them.

It wouldn’t be right not to mention Dwight Howard here as well. With Cheap Custom Baseball Jerseys all of the criticism that has been thrown Howard’s way this series (much of it reasonable), he deserves credit for his 16 points and 15 rebounds in the win. He was active and engaged throughout the game, checking all of the boxes that once made him one of the most dominant interior forces in league history. The Hawks need that kind of consistent effort if they want to advance.

Highlight you need to see: Schroder tried to hack Wall’s arm off, but it didn’t matter.
